As I said earlier I feel like a globetrotter and I have been so lucky to be able to travel quite a lot around the world. I want to invite you to join me on my trips around the globe.
Below you will find a short description of the travelreports about what to expect. I am sorry that I have only a few reports that were also translated in English. It simply takes to much time to translate all the reports. But I hope you will enjoy the pictures in the reports. Have fun!
July 2009
I went twice to Poland and during both visits I went to Oświęcim. In this village you'll find the concentrationcamp Auschwitz. The place where over 1 million people died during World War II. A historical place that everybody should visit once in their lives so we'll never forget about this terrible period in history. It makes you really quiet. More …

After a year without any travelling it was about time to enter a plane again. This time I flew together with Jan to the island Malta in The Mediterranean Sea. One of the countries that I wanted to visit a long time was the small country in Central America, Costa Rica. I have a read a lot about the beautiful nature and wildlife that is protected so well in Costa Rica. September 2006
In September 2006 I flew to Athens for a two week trip to the capital of Greece and the Cyclad islands south of Athens. Me and my friend Arianne planned to go together, but Arianne's pregnancy changed plans. I had to travel alone and discover one of the most beautiful parts of Greece by myself. Because I was already in the Caribean, it was just a 3 hour flight to Surinam. I heard a lot about this country by my collegues and Mike was also very enthusiastic after his visit in 2005 to Surinam. So now it was my turn to visit this small country in South-America who was once part of The Netherlands. Enough reason to discover Surinam, its inhabitants en its beautiful nature. More …
February 2006
In February and March 2006 I returned to Curaçao to visit Mike, Monique and Lloyd again. They told me they decided to return to The Netherlands again in April 2006. So a last chance to enjoy Curaçao again. This time I created just a photogallerie of the pictures I made in Curaçao. I think I told quite enough about Curaçao in the report of last year. February 2005
At the end of Januar 2005 I treated myself with a sunny vacation to an island that is part of the Kingdom of The Netherlands and just outside the coast of Venezuela in the Caribean. A friend of mine lives there and he invited me to visit him in his little palace under the sun. Well tell me ... who can decline such an offer. So I took my bags and flew to Curaçao. October 2004
In October 2004 Laura and me flew to Alicante for a relaxing vacation and to visit Laura's daddy. He lives on the Costa Blanca in a village called Albir. We visited the surroundings of Albir, Altea and of course Alicante. This vacation would also be my first experience with diving in clear waters since I passed in 2004 for my PADI Open Water brevet. Feb - Mar 2004
Valentines day 2004 was the day that we flew to the other side of the world. Laura and me were on our way to New Zealand. It proved to be the best vacation we had ever had and we fell in love with the beautiful and friendly New Zealand. Also we made stopovers in Singapore and Japan. In November 2003 I flew together with Laura to the capital of Italy: Rome!
We planned a 5-day citytrip to experience the ancient Roman city, visit the small country Vatican-city, feel the vibes of this busy city full of glamour and taste my favorite food. In September 2002 I flew to Barcelona together with Mariska to enjoy the daily Catalan life, the tasty tapas, the relaxing beach downtown and to celebrate La Fiesta La Merce. At the end of June 2002 I drove to Normandy in France together with my friend Jan. We rented a little palace in Valognes and visited lots of important spots during the invasion of Normandy in the second World War. And of course we also enjoyed the beautiful countryside. At the end of December 2000 I flew to cold Moscow to visit my former girlfriend Daria. She lives in Moscow and she showed me around her beautiful city full of history. At the end of July 1998 I flew to Oslo to meet my friend Berit again. She invited me for her 25th birthday and promissed me to show her beautiful Norway afterwards.
